Better than Nutella?

Nutella lovers, take note: Swiss chocolatier Lindt is entering the fray with its own chocolate hazelnut spread, with one essential difference: it contains a lot more hazelnuts.

To be precise: Lindt Hazelnut Cream, as the spread is called, contains 40% hazelnuts. A jar of Nutella contains just 13%. Will it persuade the ever-loyal Nutella fan to switch?

Expensive

That remains to be seen. In any case, there is one problem: for now, it is only available in England and online, and is considerably more expensive than Nutella. A 200-gram jar of Nutella costs €1.79. Lindt’s Hazelnut Cream costs €6.76 for 210 grams, and online it costs as much as €10.99, excluding shipping costs.

But if we are to believe the reviews on Amazon, it is all worth it. ‘A dream come true’, ‘Way richer than Nutella’ and ‘It tastes better than pure chocolate.’
