Easily Remove Corn from the Cob

In a salad, in your taco or enchilada or anywhere else: fresh corn is by far the tastiest. We understand that sometimes, for convenience, you reach for canned corn, but with these tips you can remove the kernels from the cob so easily that you’ll never want to do it any other way.

There are many methods for removing corn kernels from the cob, but there’s a chance the entire kitchen will end up covered in corn and you’ll be in a bad mood. That’s why we investigated the best way to get this job done.
The Bundt Pan Method
Place the corn cob upright, flat side down, on the hole in the middle of the Bundt pan. Cut down the sides of the corn cob. The kernels will land neatly in the Bundt pan, where you can loosen them with your hands. The ‘domestic geek’ demonstrates this trick in this video.
The Bowl Construction
Don’t have a Bundt pan at hand? Place a small bowl upside down in the bottom of a large bowl. Then place the corn cob upright again, with the flat side resting on the bottom of the small bowl. Grab a sharp knife and start cutting. Not entirely clear? Watch this video.
