What type of Christmas tree are you?

What do you mean, baby Jesus and the Holy Virgin Mary? Hot dogs, noodles and whisky in your Christmas tree are a thousand trillion times more fun! Here’s how to turn your Christmas tree into the ultimate foodie altar.

For the booze hound:
Do you enjoy a little tipple now and then? Then a tree full of champagne, tequila, rum, wine and whisky bottles is right up your street. Drinking straight from the bottle isn’t very chic, of course, so add a few cocktails and champagne glasses and you’re good to go. After hanging a crate of beer in it, naturally. Oh, and don’t forget these bottles filled with (real!) gin. They’ll get you through Christmas.

For the sweet tooth:
Why limit your tree to a few wreath cookies and candy canes when you can make the non-edible parts sugar-sweet too? There’s an incredible amount on offer for those with a sweet tooth: from doughnuts, marshmallows and cotton candy sets to gumball machines and chocolate bars. Ice cream cones, ice lollies, cupcakes, marshmallows, cakes, lollipops and slices of cake certainly won’t look out of place in your candy tree.

For the Francophile:
Are you a Francophile, or are you Alain Caron? Then this set of Christmas ornaments cannot be missing from your tree: du vin, un croissant et une baguette s’il vous plait. You can also buy all of those separately, by the way. And how about un café? And une tour du macarons? Or simply a few individual macarons? Add a little French cheese and pommes frites et voilà! Joyeux Noël!

For the fit girls:
You’ve already had a tough time this month, of course, with all those social obligations full of sugar, fat and alcohol. No stress; just turn your tree into an ultra-healthy #fitspirationtree. How? With cherries, pomegranate (hello, superfood!), fruit skewers, dragon fruit, lemon, melon, grapefruit, pineapple, banana—and let’s certainly not forget the two ounces of vegetables and healthy fats from avocado and coconut.

For Japan fans:
Okay, Japan has some strange Christmas traditions, but that doesn’t mean you can’t use your tree to pay tribute to the country that enriched your life with sushi and ramen. The selection isn’t huge, but with a bowl of ramen, bottle of soy sauce, a sushi box and some individual maki and nigiri, you’ll still go a long way. Or make it an Asian mix and throw in some fortune cookies and a Chinese takeaway box.

For the cowboys:
Turn your tree into your own American (Christmas) dream and fill it with popcorn, hot dogs, Coca-Cola (Diet too!), cupcake towers, doughnuts, milkshakes, hamburgers, bacon, chips, pretzels, roast turkey, mac ‘n cheese, and hey, why not: a barbecue!

For Latin lovers:
If there’s one cuisine that has made a comeback in recent years, it’s Latin American—especially Mexican. Bringing together a look back at all the delicious things you’ve eaten over the past year in one tree: isn’t that a dream? Just imagine: a tree full of tacos, chilli peppers, tequila and avocados. Mmm.

For snack experts:
Our very own Snackspert’s tree is covered in them (how could it be otherwise), and a snack tree is within your reach too. McDonald’s didn’t just release a Christmas ornament collection with Big Macs, Happy Meals and fries ornaments; Hema now has its own Christmas collection for foodies too. Be honest: those smoked sausage and tompouce ornaments simply can’t be missing from your tree, can they?
