10 x the most antisocial ‘tips’ we’ve ever seen
I think tipping remains an interesting phenomenon. Because it’s different in every country, and even within each country it varies from person to person. Personally, I’m convinced that if you’ve worked in hospitality yourself, you’re generally a little more generous when tipping. Anyway, some people really don’t get it at all. What possesses some guests?!
Here are some painful examples of how not to do it. I genuinely feel sorry for these serving staff members…
1. Please leave your political opinions at home and give a normal tip instead of propaganda fake money
2. Okay, so after being pampered all evening, you think the staff should try even harder for the tip?!
3. This isn’t well-intentioned advice. This is simply stinginess. Besides, it’s a job—so money is in fact an essential part of it.
4. You can also keep your opinions about MANDATORY masks at home. And you can stick that five cents where the sun doesn’t shine.
5. So your political preferences are questionable, to put it mildly, but you feel so entitled that you deserve a one-cent discount?!
6. I genuinely have no words for this. I hope these people, whoever they are, are banned everywhere.
7. How dare you not serve me alcohol when I’m underage and you’re risking a fine by doing so?!
8. “No money for a tip PS. nice boobs.” Classy.
9. Along with your political preferences, keep your religious beliefs at home too. Unless they can pay our rent.
10. “You’re welcome that I came to eat here after serving in the army for pay, which gives me a good excuse not to reward your much lower-paid job with a tip.” Something like that?
