Breakfast

Smoothies, bowls, sandwiches and good coffee. And all that in an Instagrammable pink restaurant. You’ll find it all at Smooth. This is the best place to start your foodie tour of Dordt.

Lunch

Pinxos at Post is everything you want when dining with friends. At the gastrobar, you create your own menu based on all the delicious food you see. And with no fewer than sixteen open wines, the conviviality can last a very long time.

Drinks

If, after a long lunch at Post, you want to move on for drinks, DOK is the place for you. Sink into the Chesterfield sofas, choose a glass of wine from the extensive wine list or have a cocktail shaken behind the large bar. Still feeling peckish (it can happen)? The menu features excellent bites such as crostini with duck rillettes or homemade bitterballen.

Dinner

Have dinner at fish restaurant De Stroper on the Wijnbrug. For thirty years, this has been the place to enjoy no-nonsense fish dishes in a relaxed atmosphere overlooking the canals. For €29,95, you can have a four-course menu, but of course you can also go all out with more luxurious menus and dishes. Besides fresh fish, a great deal of attention is also paid to the wines. Feel free to ask for advice, because fish needs to swim.

Dancing

For a night out, head to De Kazerne, of course. Last year, the café was even nominated for the nightlife award. The agenda features various parties where you can dance into the early hours.

Sleeping

Missed the last train home? Then book a night at Villa Augustus, a fairytale-like oasis just outside the city. Surrounded by magnificent vegetable gardens and flowerbeds, this old water tower (which looks more like a castle tower) is an unforgettable place to stay. Every room has a unique interior and overlooks the estate and the city. The restaurant’s menu features local products, many of which are grown and picked on site. You are guaranteed to wake up here with a smile on your face.
