24Kitchen Food Festival in Amsterdam
Buy a ticket for this festival and on Saturday 12 or Sunday 13 August, you’ll get a cooking class from one of the 24Kitchen chefs and you can take part in a beer, wine or gin and tonic tasting at the Foodhallen in Amsterdam.
You can also have your favorite cookbook signed by your favorite 24Kitchen chef and you’ll receive two small, summery dishes.
Cooking classes
I mentioned it already: several 24Kitchen chefs will be giving cooking classes. De Worsten van Babel will teach you how to cook at the campsite, Mounir Toub will teach you how to make the most delicious North African salads, and Estée Strooker will share her Parisian picnic tips with you. Each cooking class lasts approximately one hour.
Tastings
Following the cooking class you attend, you’re welcome to join a tasting. You can taste beer, wine or gin and tonics. Be sure to check the website carefully when buying a ticket: depending on your choice of cooking class, you can choose from a number of selected tastings. So not all tastings are available with every class.
Oh, and since you’re in the area anyway, be sure to stop by Bar Centraal for a good glass of wine and a snack.
