5 pastries that will make you want to sprint to HEMA right now

Hema-Favorflav

The HEMA pastry department is a phenomenon in its own right. We were already lyrical about the luxury cappuccino tompouce and went wild over the Santa drip cake. Now there are more pastries available that make us want to drop everything and sprint like crazy to the nearest HEMA. Whether it’s your birthday, you’ve graduated or you have something else to celebrate: with HEMA’s pastries, you’re always in for a treat. These are our 5 favorites.

Pink red velvet drip cake (16 people, €24)

Has anyone ever felt sick from red velvet? No, right? My point exactly: red velvet cake is always a good idea. Especially with such a gorgeous candy-pink drizzle on top. This is three layers of red velvet cake, filled with white cream and raspberry sauce, finished with a pink chocolate drip. Make me crazy! Also available for 8 and 24 people.

Mini drip cake (€2.50)

Whether you see a melted ice cream or a unicorn horn (that’s what it’s called, right?) in it, you simply want this incredibly sweet yet picture-perfect mini drip cake. The minimum order for this little cake is 4 pieces (when ordering online) – but hey, that’s not a problem, right?

Brownie cookie pastry (€2.50)

This pastry has it all: a brownie, a generous cream filling and an Oreo-like cookie. For this pastry too, you have to order at least 4 pieces if you order online. And for this pastry too, that’s no problem whatsoever, if you ask us.

Luxury tompouce with crumb topping (€1.60)

It looks just like an apple crumble pastry, but don’t be fooled: it doesn’t taste like apple. It does taste like crumble. Another delicious tompouce, just as we’ve come to expect from HEMA.

Gluten-free hazelnut meringue pastry (€2.50)

It’s a beauty, don’t you think? Just like a Bossche bol, but still something different. Hazelnut meringue layers filled with cream, covered in milk chocolate and finished with pieces of hazelnut. How delicious does this sound? Even better: the pastry is gluten-free.
