5 x sweet in Amsterdam

We all get a huge craving for something sweet from time to time. Here’s a list of five places in Amsterdam where you can satisfy that craving. 

De Laatste Kruimel
A tiny establishment right in the city center. When you walk past it, you’re drawn inside. All the delicious treats gaze at you through the window. The rhubarb pie and chestnut chocolate cake are irresistible. The selection changes frequently.

Stach
At Stach, you can find all sorts of things, but we mainly go there for the sweet treats. Salted caramel slices and peanut butter chocolate cups are favorites. But the coconut macaroons are also famous—and infamous. Stach also has its own line of chocolate bars. We definitely can’t resist the ‘Stach Milk Coffee Crisp’, ‘Milk Salty Peanut Butter’ and ‘Dark Pecan Orange’ bars.

Sticky Fingers
On Amstelveenseweg, you can drop by every day from 7:00 a.m. for sweet snacks. Get a tartelette, coconut macaroon or chocolate rock. The good old muffin is also available here in a particularly good version.

Betty Blue
They’re known for their cheesecake and red velvet cake. Breakfast, brunch, lunch and high tea—it’s all possible. So you can walk out the door at 6:00 p.m. with a sugar rush unlike anything you’ve ever experienced.

Van Soest
Van Soest is a chocolatier on Utrechtsestraat. They create beautiful works of art: hearts, flowers, rabbits—you name it, they make it from chocolate at Van Soest. Everything can also be ordered online in the webshop.
