8 peach desserts to celebrate summer

If there’s one type of fruit that makes me think of holidays and summer, it’s definitely the peach. A peach so ripe that all the juice runs down your hands is a treat in itself, but it also works wonderfully in baked goods. Here are my favorite peach desserts in a row.

Peach with raspberries, salted crumble and cream
The fact that peach and raspberries are a winning combination is proven by the retro classic pêche melba. This dessert is somewhat inspired by it and is served with salted crumble made from graham crackers (you can also simply use digestive biscuits). In any case, make a double batch: stored in an airtight container, it will keep for another week and is also delicious over ice cream, or eaten straight from your hand.
Do you ever cook with black garlic?
Crumble
The easiest way to bake with fruit is still a crumble. All you have to do is make a simple crumb topping, sprinkle it over your fruit and slide the whole thing into the oven. This recipe includes cinnamon and oats in the crumble, which makes it perfectly suitable for breakfast, if you ask us.

Cobbler
In the southern US, they have their own version of crumble: cobbler. Instead of crumb topping, biscuit dough goes on top of the fruit, covering everything in a thick layer. A real treat for all carblovers out there.
Peach hand pies
Forget the apple turnovers you eat on New Year’s Eve; in summer, you eat peach hand pies. The homemade dough in this recipe is truly delicious, but when you’re feeling lazy, I think it’s perfectly fine to use store-bought puff pastry too.
White peach tart
This tart is the perfect ending to a light summer dinner. Arrange the peaches in a beautiful pattern and finish with some icing sugar for an extra-pretty result.

Grilled peach
Done with grilled banana and marshmallows to finish off the barbecue? Grilled peaches are your new best friend. Super simple and healthy too. Except when you serve them with a generous scoop of vanilla ice cream, which I actually recommend.
Panna cotta
This panna cotta is made partly with heavy cream and partly with yoghurt, making it extra fresh and summery. Add peaches with lemon and thyme and you have an amazing summer dessert.
Tarte tatin
The classic apple tarte tatin will always be our favorite, but sometimes you feel like trying something different. Or perhaps you suddenly find yourself with five ripe peaches that you want to do something with? For all those moments, there’s this upside-down tart.
