A great tip for whiskey fans: the Woodford Mondays are back
For the third year running, Woodford Reserve Bourbon Whiskey is making Monday the best day of the week with Woodford Mondays. For five weeks, every Monday Woodford Reserve brings together special bars, chefs and artists to beat the Monday Blues. This year, Woodford Mondays kick off on 24 February at Door74 bar, where De Schone Schrijvers will write lightning-fast personalized poems to accompany everyone’s cocktail.

It’s no secret that many iconic writers throughout history found inspiration in a sip of their favorite cocktail. And with that in mind, the poets from De Schone Schrijvers will quickly write personalized poems at the bar at Door74. Before the cocktail is finished, the writers will return to perform a tailor-made poem.

This year, too, Sins of Sal is serving up a sinfully delicious evening during Woodford Monday with a culinary collaboration. After Alex Haupt and the team from Ladybird, the Rotterdam-based team from Stooges’ is taking over the kitchen this year with a menu packed with ultimate comfort food. Their juicy burgers and tacos come with the boozy shakes and root beer floats from Sins’ bartender Anna Vu Kim – it’s gonna be wicked!

And we’re live! Join the live podcast of ‘Wat Schaft De Podcast’ during this Woodford Monday. In this episode, Jeroen and Jonas are joined by fermentation specialist Ivana Mik, who was once part of the iconic NOMA team. What would your personality sound like as a piece of music? Pulitzer’s Bar sets the tone for answering that question. During a melodic Woodford Monday, three musicians will compose live musical portraits of guests in the bar based on a short questionnaire. Discover your unique composition and sample harmonious cocktails. Anyone selected for a composition will go home with their unique piece of music.

Artist Anouk Potter will paint one of her characteristic Amsterdam scenes and, this time, capture the guests of Flying Dutchmen Cocktails during this Woodford Monday. Reserve your spot and appear on her canvas while enjoying artistic cocktails. Meanwhile, you’ll learn how to quickly and easily sketch a small drawing.
