Every morning, long queues form at Chef Meng’s food stall. Meng, who was born in Malaysia, sells Hong Kong-style noodles with chicken in soy sauce in Singapore for $1.50. And they are so unbelievably good that Michelin has awarded a food stall a Michelin star for the first time in history.

Meng left school at the age of fifteen and started cooking to earn some extra money. He quickly discovered that this was his passion.  His determination to get the best out of himself every day has not gone unnoticed, because the chef has delivered an extraordinary achievement.
