Accessible entrepreneurship at Kitchen Republic

Amid the industrial buildings in Amsterdam West, you’ll find Kitchen Republic’s enormous kitchen, a magnet for local food producers, food startups and quality caterers.

Mix of food entrepreneurs
In the shared professional kitchen, a colourful mix of entrepreneurs rents part of the space to make all kinds of products. Sarah from Granola for Gangsters bakes her granola stock here, Peter from Baked in Amsterdam makes countless banana breads, and Martijn and Tom de Wolf from Gebroeders de Wolf make sausages and rillettes from wild geese they shot themselves.
All the entrepreneurs simply started at home, but their success eventually outgrew the kitchen
Success bigger than the kitchen
All the entrepreneurs simply started at home, but their success eventually outgrew their kitchen. Overstuffed refrigerators, a house that reeks of goose fat day and night, and an oven that is just a little too small. All reasons to move to a professional kitchen.
Professional kitchen
There are twelve different businesses in total, and the monthly rent is affordable for everyone. For a few hundred euros a month, entrepreneurs get access to 500m2 of space and professional equipment, assistance with selling their products, and access to a valuable network. A great deal—you don’t have to take on the risk and mortgage of your own space.
Soon, FavorFlav will publish three profiles of Kitchen Republic entrepreneurs.
