Forget honey, berries and granola, and say hello to pumpkin, shallots and tomato. Have you tried savory yogurt yet?

A breakfast with savory yogurt sounds a little strange, but why not? The fresh flavor of yogurt goes perfectly with savory ingredients. It has been a trend in America for a while now, and they even sell yogurt with savory flavors. A nice change from vanilla or chocolate.

Icelandic skyr
If you want to give it a try yourself, use a thick base such as Greek yogurt or Icelandic skyr. These two can handle all those savory flavors. Once the base is in your bowl, you can really let loose. Fresh herbs, finely chopped shallot, seeds, nuts, leftover vegetables from the night before, a squeeze of Sriracha, salt flakes—and always finish with a drizzle of olive oil.

Whole Foods
If you happen to be in England or the US, pick up a cup of savory yogurt at Whole Foods (you were planning to go there anyway, right?). They sell the dairy brand Blue Hill, which makes yogurt in flavors such as tomato and parsnip. Naturally, it comes in trendy cups with fun illustrations. Pick up some toppings from the salad bar while you’re there and you’ll have an Instagram-worthy meal.
