Animal style fries

At the editorial office, we’ve had a long-standing dream that American burger chain In-n-Out will come to the Netherlands. Besides the fact that the burgers are juicy and served on the ideal bun, they also serve animal style fries here.

Not so secret menu
Animal style isn’t on the regular menu, but on the secret menu, which actually hasn’t been that secret for a long time. What does it involve? Fries covered with grilled onions, melted cheese and a generous scoop of Thousand Island dressing. If you mix everything together right away, your fries won’t become soggy, but they will all be coated in a layer of sauce. Delicious.
Make them yourself
There’s most likely no In-n-Out within cycling distance of where you live. A shame, but you can easily recreate the fries at home. With this recipe from Thrillist, you’re just an hour away from this satisfying serving of fries.
Amsterdam
Not a star in the kitchen? At Parck in Amsterdam, their own version is on the menu, with bacon, cheddar and jalapeños, and smothered in Parck sauce.
