The relationship between food and art has existed for centuries. ‘Art is a form of nourishment,’ writer Susan Sontag wrote in her diary. The remarkable cookbook from MoMA, the renowned museum of modern art in New York, contains vintage recipes and reflections on food by, among others, Salvador Dalí, Louise Bourgeois, Willem de Kooning and Andy Warhol.

Greek seniors are forced to become wild foragers

The Greek economy is still struggling, which is why more and more Greek seniors are being forced to forage for wild plants. In a BBC report, foraging is even described as a new way of life in some places. With a pension of 500 euros, it is difficult to make ends meet, so people are returning to nature. Something that was perfectly normal before the economic growth. The haul? Askolibmi, a plant that resembles an artichoke and tastes delicious with lamb or squid, snails, herbs and horta, a plant somewhat similar to bimi.
