Boozy ice pops for a summer evening

It’s always time for ice cream. Warm, cold, morning or evening, give us an ice cream and we’re happy. If you even feel like something icy during drinks, these are great options.

24ICE

Remember Calippo? That, but in mojito, strawberry daiquiri, vodka energy, limoncello or pina colada. They contain 5 percent alcohol. That won’t have the same effect as a real cocktail, but it’s enough that you wouldn’t want to—or be allowed to—give one to a child. And there are only 53 calories in each ice pop, so you can simply keep eating them until you’re actually feeling tipsy.

Smice Ice

If you’re not in the mood for daiquiris or limoncellos, try Smice Ice pops in gin&tonic, mojito and caipirinha flavors. Each ice pop contains 6 percent alcohol. Thanks to a special technique, the alcohol can freeze at -18°C instead of the -114°C normally required. You also don’t taste the ice crystals, because this technique improves the texture as well. Gianni’s ice pops Aldi

Prosecco & peach bellini or gin & tonic ice pops can be found in Aldi’s freezer section. They’re worth buying for the packaging alone. Both ice pops contain 4.5 percent alcohol, and for €2.50 you get four ice pops.

If you want to take a slightly fancier route, you can make a slushy: a frozen pina colada, for example. This one contains white rum, pineapple and frozen coconut purée. Throw it in the blender with ice cubes and add a little parasol to your glass, and your evening is complete.
