Cider Festival: Forbidden Fruit Fest

On Sunday, June 25, head to Skatecafé in Amsterdam-Noord, where everything revolves around cider. For one day, there will be a cider bar, five cider producers ready to answer all your questions, and above all, plenty of cider to taste.

From 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., it’s all about the drink made from the forbidden fruit: the apple. The five guests come from all corners of cider-producing Europe.

While they let you taste their cider, they will tell you about their methods: for example, how do you get the best fruit, which types of apples are suitable for the drink, and how do they make it? If you make cider yourself, they will give you all the tips they have.

Party
Fortunately, they are not just there to expand your knowledge of cider and top up your glass. The event is primarily a party rather than a lecture. Skatecafé will provide the music, and there will be plenty of snacks to enjoy with your drink. For €8, you get in with a tasting glass in your hand.
