Colorful flower burgers

Amsterdam already has the Vegan Junk Food Bar, and almost every burger joint has a vegan burger on the menu. Now the Netherlands’ first 100 percent vegan burger joint is opening in Rotterdam: Flower Burger.

Who: Flower Burger
Where: Hoogstraat in Rotterdam
When: July 2018
What’s new?
The chain from Italy had not yet opened any locations abroad, but that has now changed. Flower Burger is the first restaurant in the Netherlands to sell exclusively burgers that are one hundred percent vegan. They’re also incredibly Instagrammable, as they all come in beautiful colors.

On the menu?
Vegan burgers in all the colors of the rainbow. The pink cherry bomb burgers are colored with cherry extract, the yellow spicy chickpea burger with turmeric and the black flower burger with charcoal. The chickpea burger also comes with a damn good onion chutney. Everything is homemade, including the sauces and buns.
Noteworthy?
The spot where Flower Burger is now used to be a flower shop. Could that be the origin of the name? Maybe. Owner Matteo says the name is derived from flower power. A movement in which everyone was always happy. And naturally, that’s what people should become after eating his burgers too.
