Cut Foods: super satisfying

A little strange to look at, but above all super satisfying: this photographer takes pictures of cross-sections of food.

And photographer Beth Galton doesn’t make these photos alone. She is working on the Cut Foods project together with food stylist Charlotte Omnès.

Tricks
And although taking some of the photos mainly depends on the speed of the photography, the stylist also used a few clever tricks. For example, she added gelatin to the halved cans so that they could be photographed.

The execution of this halved turkey is creative too. It was frozen and then cut through with a band saw.

For the photo showing milk being poured into the coffee, they did enlist the help of two Photoshop experts. This photo is one of Galton’s own favorites.
