Drinking beer all week

Summer is still a long way off, but we’re already dreaming of enjoying a delicious craft beer in the sunshine. From May 24 to June 3, this dream becomes reality, because that’s when Dutch Beer Week takes place.

Activities are organized throughout the country all week long. For example, you can sample beer at a liquor store or learn more about beer and food pairings at a special beer dinner. Click here to see which activities are taking place near you. This week specifically focuses on beer brewed in the Netherlands, so you’ll encounter plenty of local brewers.
Workshops
If you’re not much of a beer expert, don’t worry—you can simply take a workshop on different types of beer or beer and food pairings. You can immediately put what you’ve learned into practice at the various food trucks located on Kerkplein.
The week for beer lovers kicks off with the Dutch Beer Tasting Festival, taking place from May 24 to 26 at The Hague’s Grote Kerk. Here, you can sample around 200 different beers, and the award for the best beer in the Netherlands will be presented.
Take a peek inside
The week ends with the Dutch Brewery Days from June 1 to 3, when you can take a look inside various breweries.
