But drinking coffee their way could also solve quite a few problems. The millions of disposable cups we drink our coffee from every day could be spared. A quick espresso shot is simply drunk inside a café there. Not from a paper cup, but from a ceramic one. Advantages: shorter queues, because people only drink espresso. You make friends, because you drink your coffee together. And, importantly, it is much better for the environment.

Pizza was his life saver

A 48-year-old man from Oregon was saved by his own pizza addiction. He ordered from Domino’s so regularly that the staff began to sound the alarm when things went quiet for a few days in a row. And that is not surprising: Kirk Alexander had ordered pizza every day for seven years. After a few days, one of the employees went to check on him at home. When he did not answer the door, 911 was called, after which he was taken to hospital. His condition is now stable.

Hertog Jan ‘The Eleventh Commandment’

Hertog Jan is brewing a beer for charity this year. The brewery was asked by KiKa to brew a special beer. Since 2012, Stichting Geniet & Geef has asked a different brewer each year to collaborate. Het Elfde Gebod was chosen, with two batches of 76 hectolitres each being produced. The recipe dates back to the 1990s, bringing the beer back to the market. From 1 September, Het Elfde Gebod can be ordered (temporarily) at 160 hospitality establishments.
