Dutch Beer Week

From 19 to 29 May, it’s Dutch Beer Week.

For ten days, brewers, bars and restaurants will organize various beer-related activities. This year, the fifth anniversary will be celebrated with 150 activities, such as tastings, brewery tours and beer walks. On the website, you can see what’s happening near you.
New reservation system
OERS (Our Own Reservation System) was conceived and developed for and by restaurateurs. Ferry van Houten and Gijs Numan took the initiative for the new system, which is intended to make restaurants members automatically. This means that restaurants can use OERS alongside the reservation system they already use. The prices of existing systems keep rising, while Van Houten and Numan’s new online version is intended to be more affordable. There is no profit motive, and via the website you can create a clear table plan.
Facebook wins lawsuit against ‘Face Book’
Although Facebook is a blocked website in China, the company won a lawsuit against a beverage called ‘Face Book’. The name was conceived by Chinese beverage producer Zhongshan Pearl River. No one knows what it tastes like, but the company is known for milk-based drinks. According to the court in Beijing, the name violates moral principles and was clearly intended to copy an existing brand.
