Favorite rhubarb recipes

All year round, we eagerly look forward to rhubarb season. Fresh, tart and delicious in desserts or for breakfast, but also in savory dishes. These are our favorite rhubarb recipes.

Compote
When I come home with a big bunch of rhubarb, the first thing that always comes to mind is making compote. You only need sugar in addition, and it’s delicious with your yogurt, over custard or ice cream.
Cheesecake crumble
Because combining cheesecake, rhubarb and crumble is brilliant as far as we’re concerned. If you don’t speak fluent Polish, just scroll down for the English recipe.
Crumble
Don’t feel like waiting for your cheesecake to cool down before digging in? This crumble is on the table in no time and tastes best while warm. Even better with a big scoop of vanilla ice cream or a spoonful of custard.

Tarte tatin
It’s always exciting when you turn it over, and it’s always delicious with lightly sweetened crème fraîche. Tarte tatin really doesn’t have to be made with apples alone.
Chicken
When you think of rhubarb, you may quickly think of sweet dishes, but it’s actually a vegetable. Quite tart too, so just like lemon, it’s perfect for use in savory dishes. For example, these chicken thighs with lemon and crispy rhubarb, or this chicken from the oven with rhubarb butter.
Pork
Pork has a slightly sweet flavor of its own that also pairs perfectly with some acidity. With a few generous twists of black pepper, your rhubarb compote suddenly becomes a delicious side for your chop. In the mood for an Asian twist? Then make these noodles with Jamie Oliver’s crispy pork.
