Festival for the true carnivore

If you’re a true meat lover, the Butcher’s Heaven festival by meat king Julius Jaspers absolutely cannot be missing from your calendar.

During the weekend of 13 to 15 October, the Central Market Hall of the Food Center Amsterdam will be transformed into every carnivore’s wet dream. The festival is all about honest meat, from a good source, in all its glory. From prime cuts to cheaper cuts prepared in the best way, the best BBQ teams in the Netherlands will prepare everything for you on the Big Green Egg.

Barbecue king
Among others, Ron Gastrobar, The Roast Room, Graceland BBQ, Niven and Slagerij de Leeuw will be responsible for your food this weekend. Barbecue king Jord Althuizen and, of course, Julius Jaspers will take their places behind the Big Green Egg.

Loads of burgers
Want to eat as many burgers as possible? Then stop by on Friday evening, as it’s Butcher Heaven’s Burger Night. That evening, all 30 restaurants will serve their own mini burger for €5. Entry for this evening is free if you register in advance. A burger in one hand and a drink in the other. At the bar, you can get Brand specialty beers, a good glass of wine from Sligro or Jim Beam bourbon. Tastings of all three will also be organised.
