First cheese fondue restaurant in Utrecht

Bread, vegetables, sausage or even more bread: it all tastes better when you dip it into a large amount of stringy cheese. Cheese lovers throughout Utrecht can now start jumping for joy, as the city is getting its very first proper cheese fondue restaurant.

From 4 October, you can head to Fondue au Fromage, an initiative by De Bakkerswinkel, for a generous portion of cheese and accompaniments. In one of the two basement vaults of the bakery building on Wittevrouwenstraat, you will soon be able to enjoy four types of cheese fondue. You can choose from Dutch, English, French or Swiss cheeses. So go as often as necessary until you have tried them all. Okay, and perhaps a few more times after that.

The restaurant is open from 5:30 p.m. from Thursday through Sunday. Visiting in October? Then you will receive a complimentary bottle of prosecco per two people. So hurry!
