Gaggan in Bangkok is the best restaurant in Asia

A holiday to sunny Thailand doesn’t sound like a punishment to us anyway. Especially not now that the best restaurant in all of Asia is located in Bangkok.

Gaggan
Gaggan won the award for the best Asian restaurant from the website The World 50 Best for the third time. The restaurant describes its own style as progressive Indian, making extensive use of molecular cooking techniques. Owner and chef Gaggan Anand was previously part of the research team at El Bulli, so there’s no shortage of creativity.

Bangkok
Apparently, Bangkok is the culinary place to be anyway. In addition to an abundant amount of street food — think mango sticky rice and smoky pork satay — you can also go there for a very chic dinner. No fewer than 9 of the 50 best Asian restaurants are located in Bangkok. Nahm, Suhring, Bo.Ian and Issaya Siamese Club, among others, made the list.
