Get it: new vegan vegetable spread

You may already know the culinary pioneers at Mister Kitchen from the Weekend of the Rolling Kitchens and their seven peanut butter flavors that have been available at Albert Heijn since last year. The guys have come up with something new again: three types of vegetable spreads called V-spread.

The three flavors are Mediterranean tomato and zucchini, spicy chili and bell pepper, and refreshing chickpea and lemon. The spreads are vegan and packed with vegetables, complemented by herbs and spices. Instead of oil or mayonnaise, the guys use soy yogurt and white beans to make their spreads deliciously creamy.

You can spread the V-spread on your sandwich as it is or combine it with other vegetables, cheese or meat. For example, spread a generous layer of chickpea and lemon spread on your roll and top it with avocado and cress, or dip your nachos in the chili and bell pepper spread. In addition to the new spreads, Mister Kitchen also has two new peanut butter flavors: crunchy hazelnut and almond speculaas.

Mister Kitchen’s peanut butter and V-spread are available at Albert Heijn.
