Ghost Town San Pellegrino

When you think of San Pellegrino, you immediately think of chic water that you can order anywhere in the world. It stands for luxury, fine dining, the jet set and ‘La dolce vita’, but if you look at the birthplace of the sparkling water now, there is nothing left of it.

The thermal baths of San Pellegrino – once a spa resort for the rich and famous – have completely fallen into disrepair. It looks like a ghost town. The casino has been closed since 1946, but can be rented for weddings and meetings. Grand Hotel San Pellegrino, once the place to be, has been permanently closed since 1979.
