Halt! Stop the presses! Because chocolate heaven is near. On 24 and 25 February, the sixth edition of the Chocoa Chocolate Festival takes place at the Beurs van Berlage. During this weekend, you can taste specialties from every corner of the world and learn everything you ever wanted to know about truly good chocolate. And the best part is: you can win tickets and an enormous chocolate package.
Just last week, we were inundated with Easter eggs in all kinds, sizes and flavors at the FavorFlav editorial office. And when a shiny red envelope lands on our doormat? Then it’s a sign, and we can’t get Tony’s latest flavor out of it fast enough. In short: nothing but chocolate love here in the office. So a chocolate festival? We’re not going to miss that.
Just like good wine
Tasting chocolate is just like tasting good wine. If you know what to look out for, you can identify its characteristics and differences. During the festival, you can take part in various tastings from bean-to-bar producers and experience for yourself the characteristics of Peruvian, Colombian, Ecuadorian, Venezuelan and Mexican chocolate.

Choices, choices, choices

Because although chocolate is a luxury product for us, many cocoa farmers live in poverty and the cocoa supply is anything but stable and infinite.
