Healthier Ben & Jerry’s?

Good news for those of us counting calories! From 25 June, you can eat your Ben & Jerry’s with half the calories you normally would. Following Non-Dairy, the company is launching two new flavours that are considerably healthier.

Moo-phoria
Moo-phoria is what Ben and Jerry’s new line is called. For now, there are two flavours available: caramel cookie fix and chocolate cookie dough. The first contains 128 calories per serving (100 ml), and the second 132. The problem is that you do have to stick to that serving, and that’s not something we’re particularly good at. Good to know: an entire tub of Moo-phoria contains 650 calories. The regular cookie dough flavour contains around 1,350 per tub. 650 is still not exactly low, but compared with the regular version, it is quite a significant difference.
Healthier ice cream
Ben & Jerry’s is not the first to launch lower-calorie ice cream. Companies such as Oppo, Koupe and Perfect World (also vegan) have already been available in supermarkets for several months. From 25 June, Moo-phoria will join them. Wondering whether it will also be available at your supermarket? Check here.
