Let’s be honest: when it comes to lunch, we Dutch people aren’t very adventurous. A sandwich with (peanut) cheese or chocolate sprinkles and a glass of milk, a croquette on Friday and, well, in a daring mood perhaps a croissant. The hilarious Instagram account Daily Dutch Lunch makes that (painfully) clear once again.
Here you won’t find any polished avocado toast with flowers and edible gold leaf. No. Brown and yellow tones are the order of the day. Kilos of cheese, croquettes and frankfurters. I don’t know whether you’ll want to use it for inspiration, but it’s entertaining regardless. Just take a look.
