At the Oscars, everything revolves around food

The dresses and other outfits were once again a feast for the eyes during the Oscars ceremony. And every dress can be compared to a dish. That may seem far-fetched, but the outfit worn by actress Cate Blanchett brought a festive sweet bread to mind, while actor Jared Leto’s bow looked like a grilled tomato. Give us a brick and we’ll see a côte de boeuf in it. Everything is food, food is everything. That’s simply how a foodie’s brain works. Curious about what the stars actually ate last night?

Amazon.com is going to deliver food

In England, Amazon now lets you have supermarket products delivered, too, in addition to books and all kinds of other goods. The expansion is a logical step, because in the United States the website has already been successfully delivering food and non-food items for some time. The service is called Amazon Fresh, and subscribers will have to pay around one hundred euros per year for the delivery of all their groceries.

Team fries or chips?

Do you prefer the word fries or chips? Every now and then, the debate flares up again about what we should call the deep-fried potato. According to language expert Marc van Oostendrop, either is fine: “There are only emotional arguments to be made in this discussion.” At FavorFlav, we certainly like talking about fries.
