Salad less healthy than Big Mac

You think you’re choosing the healthy option, but you’re in for a nasty surprise. The new McDonald’s salad with kale is actually considerably less healthy than the classic Big Mac. The salad contains two hundred more calories than the burger. McDonald’s wants to ride the healthy trend, but so far that doesn’t seem to be working out entirely. What’s the unhealthy part mainly in? The feta cheese cubes and dressing, of course.

This food keeps Hilary going

How is Hillary Clinton getting through the presidential election? On liters of coffee, milkshakes and snacks from Dunkin’ Donuts. The Clinton team also gets through quite a lot of pizza. Not exactly the healthiest choices, but Hillary also uses these snack moments to connect with her supporters.

The year of the sugar tax

Belgium introduced it in January, as did Chile, Mexico and a few Scandinavian countries: the sugar tax. The tax on sugar is intended to increase the cost of products containing a lot of sugar, thereby reducing consumption. The idea comes from the tax on tobacco. That helped reduce the number of smokers. Opponents of the tax say that people will still buy sugary products and drinks, but will then choose a cheaper alternative.
