It has been scientifically researched: beer puts you in a better mood

Want to have a good time this weekend, dancing from top to bottom and from left to right without crashing, getting tired, becoming grumpy or getting bored? Then our colleagues at Amayzine know what you should drink.

Because there is one drink that puts you in a particularly good mood. According to scientists, beer makes you a happier person. And not only because of the alcohol; the substance hordenine causes dopamine to be released in your brain. That, in turn, activates your reward system, and that leaves you wanting more.
That is why one beer doesn’t even count. At least two, three, four… It’s addictive. The scientists confirm this: ‘You drink more of it, not because you’re thirsty or to survive. No, you want more of that happy feeling.’
Symbolic beer belly
That also largely explains why some women simply find men with a beer belly quite attractive. A six-pack only makes you feel insecure, but that belly that has clearly seen its share of beers symbolizes conviviality, that happy feeling. As if to say: life is bound to be fun with him. That’s something you can benefit from in the long term.
Science says so
The good news for anyone who wants to get through the summer somewhat healthily is that just a tiny amount is enough to make you happy. You can already notice a difference after 15 millilitres of beer. This was tested: people were given 15 millilitres of sports drink, water or beer. They didn’t know which was which, and it was such a small amount that the alcohol could not possibly have had an effect. Even so, the people who tasted beer turned out to be the happiest of the whole bunch.
So there you have it: science says so. Beer makes you happy. And that makes going to the pub tonight even more appealing, doesn’t it?
