It worked! Thuisbezorgd has finally added fries to the menu

Thuisbezorgd

In the southern Netherlands, ordering fries through Thuisbezorgd was simply not possible. What was possible? “Patat.” But that’s not what they call them there. Confusion all around—and after a playful campaign, it has finally come to an end. Thuisbezorgd has finally added fries to the menu

Patat or fries: it’s an endless discussion—and yes, there are bigger problems in the world, but the name of our favorite snack certainly keeps people talking.

Fries at Thuisbezorgd

Previously, if you wanted to order fries in Breda, you could search yourself silly on Thuisbezorgd.nl. They certainly weren’t listed under F. So you had to scroll all the way to P again—what a hassle. And it’s also a bit of an affront to your southern pride, isn’t it? Because in the south, they’re called friet. Period.

Thanks to you!

DJ @koenwijn launched a campaign on his radio show to get the word “friet” added to the menu when he couldn’t find fries, but could find patat… His listeners took massive action, and Thuisbezorgd gave in. Nice one.
