Italian restaurant Roberto’s celebrates 30th anniversary with special dishes

Hooray! This year, Italian restaurant Roberto’s at the Hilton Amsterdam is celebrating its thirtieth anniversary. And that calls for a tribute to Pura Cucina Italiana. From mid-November through December 2023, you can sample the finest wines with typical Piedmontese dishes — naturally including tartufo bianco (white truffle). But there’s more!

Roberto’s pure cuisine
Don’t expect any frills; at Roberto’s, everything revolves around pure, authentic Italian cuisine. Gastronomy may be subject to trends and other cultural changes that cause dishes to lose their authenticity, but for thirty years Roberto’s has been striving to preserve the traditional values that make Italian cuisine so unique.

Barolo with truffle
Roberto’s culinary celebration journey begins in October in Garfagnana, central Italy. Chef Aurelio Barattini of the centuries-old restaurant Antica Locanda di Sesto will introduce you to the culture of his region and share authentic, robust dishes in Amsterdam. From mid-November through December, Roberto’s will let you taste the finest Batasiolo wines, including Barolo, the king of wines, paired with typical Piedmontese dishes, in which tartufo bianco (white truffle) naturally plays the leading role.
From Venice to Sorrento
From mid-January to mid-February 2024, it’s Venetian carnival season — also at Roberto’s, because everything here revolves around ‘ombra e cicchetti’: sipping wine and enjoying small bites. When spring arrives, Roberto’s pays tribute to classic Roman cuisine, and in May and June they take inspiration from Sorrento. Think: mozzarella di bufala, the finest pizza and spaghetti, exceptional seafood, plenty of lemon and wines from volcanic soil. What.A.Feast!
