Jamie’s turkey banh mi

banhmi-2

A large roast turkey is the ultimate Christmas classic. During dinner, everyone naturally goes for a juicy leg or tender slice of breast, but what do you do with all the leftovers clinging to the carcass? After the holidays, you can make the best leftover sandwiches with them.

Jamie’s turkey banh mi

Banh mi is a Vietnamese dish consisting of a French baguette spread with pâté and topped with grilled meat and sweet-and-sour pickles. In Vietnam, they sell many different variations of this sandwich, but they are almost always made with some kind of pork, like in this recipe from our Emma.

In this video, Jamie Oliver makes banh mi with leftover turkey, but is another roast on the menu at your place, such as chicken, rabbit, pork or beef? Then you can vary and experiment with that on your baguette too.
