Jingle bells: these three cocktails with Disaronno will give you a white Christmas
Christmas can be planned, except for those white flakes. But our colleagues at Amayzine have found a way to make the holidays just a little whiter. Off to the liquor store, because these white Christmas cocktails will get you in the mood straight away.
It’s actually strange that so little shaking and stirring goes on at Christmas. Because surely this is the perfect occasion? Disaronno’s Velvet version is about to change that. Disaronno Velvet is just a little more approachable in taste, making it perfect for mixing and blending into a cocktail. It doesn’t matter what your taste is, because Velvet is delicious in everything from on the rocks to a variation on the popular Espresso Martini.
Hence: three variations with which to serve up a white Christmas. You can bet I’ll definitely be making that last one for my family.
Velvet on the rocks
Nothing beats the pure recipe. Take a beautiful glass, fill it with generous ice cubes, pour the Disaronno Velvet over them and voilà: you have the real Velvet experience in a glass. Delicious before dinner, with coffee, and as an evening nightcap.
Velvet White Espresso Martini
Could it be Christmas 365 days a year? I’d happily have this variation on the delicious Espresso Martini on the menu every day. How do you make it? In this cocktail, you’ll need 50 ml Disaronno Velvet, 25 ml Tia Maria and 25 ml Tito’s Handmade Vodka. Shake all the ingredients in a shaker filled with ice, strain into a martini glass and garnish with some chocolate shavings.
Velvet White Russian
What do you need for a Velvet à la the Russians? To start, 25 ml Disaronno Velvet, a strong espresso and 45 ml Tito’s Vodka. Then pour the Disaronno Velvet, espresso and Tito’s Vodka into a shaker, strain into a tumbler and serve with ice. Tip: For a cocktail with those extra-beautiful layers, add the Disaronno Velvet last. This creates such a beautiful white cloud in the glass. Cheers!
