Millennials Prefer Food Over Sex

All day long, hashtags like #foodporn and #foodgasm fly around your ears. So it comes as no surprise that a large proportion of young men and women find sex just as enjoyable as food. And some even consider food more important.

This claim comes from this extensive study, for which 12,000 men and women were surveyed. In addition to food porn, the report also looks at other trends such as sustainability in the food sector, growing food locally and fermenting.

Women Prefer Food Over Sex

Of the people surveyed, 46 percent of men and 51 percent of women said that food is just as enjoyable as sex. And 26 percent of men and 46 percent of women agreed with the statement, ‘if I had to choose between a delicious dinner at a restaurant or sex, I would choose dinner’.

The reason? Maybe millennials simply do not like sex that much—at least, if we are to believe this study reported by The Washington Post reports. People born after 1990 are twice as likely to be sexually inactive as people of the same age from the previous generation.
