Most Expensive Dutch Lobster

The start of lobster season began with a costly first catch. 

Yesterday afternoon, lobster season got underway. As every year, it was marked by the auction of the very first Oosterschelde lobster. This time, that honor went to Joop Braakhekke. In the Zeeland village of Colijnsplaat, a fish farm from Vrouwenpolder bid €25,000. The proceeds will go to KWF Cancer Control.

Since March 23, the nanma maram, tree of goodness, has stood outside the Indian restaurant Pappadavada. It is a refrigerator where restaurant guests or passersby can place their leftovers. The refrigerator will remain on and open 24/7 for homeless people. This means they no longer have to rummage through trash cans looking for food.
