Must eat: bäco

The Bäco from Baco Mercat is a cross between a wrap and a pita. As far as we’re concerned, it’s worth a trip to Los Angeles. 

Chef Josef Centeno makes bäco’s, sandwiches made from soft bread and filled with all kinds of combos. The original bäco contains pieces of fried pork belly and a Catalan almond and garlic sauce (salbitxada). But you can also order one with oxtail pieces, tender potato, leftover pancake, topped with cheddar and lettuce.
