Must eat New York City

FFNathans

Food is everywhere in New York. On the street, on top of the tallest towers and underground. And you can’t consult a single medium without being flooded with food tips. Still, you’re always looking for that one place with something extra. Stop searching, and go to Coney Island, just like Marjan Ippel, baby.

All things hipster

By now, most New York visitors know Brooklyn for its hipster coffee, hipster pizza, hipster beer gardens, hipster ramen noodles, hipster burgers, hipster everything.

But few know that the much-lauded and movie-famous Coney Island, with its amusement park right on the Atlantic Ocean, is located at the southernmost tip of Brooklyn.

Maybe not the best frankfurter in New York, but certainly the most iconic.

Just a subway ride from the heart of Williamsburg and Bushwick, you can easily dip your toes in the ocean. But above all, you can try one of the most authentic New York dishes: a frankfurter. With fries, mustard, pickles, the whole shebang. Maybe not the best in New York, but certainly the most iconic.

After a long beach walk or a sunbath on the boardwalk, be sure to look for a stand selling funnel cake, a strand of dough squirted into hot oil and eaten all along the North American coast with lots of powdered sugar.
Your day at the New York beach doesn’t get any better than this.
