Nareshtaurant at Dutch Design Week

Our very own Naresh Ramdjas will be shining in Eindhoven this week during Dutch Design Week. From 22 to 30 October, he will be cooking there with his pop-up concept Nareshtaurant.

This is already the fourth year that Naresh has hosted a pop-up during DDW. Together with design collective NUL ZES and four other guys, he runs the restaurant, this time at the NRE site. They have been incredibly busy with the preparations for a month now.
Design & food
What is special about the collaboration between the designers and the chef? Visitors get a unique experience through the combination of design and food. For example, there are no standard tables and chairs in the restaurant; instead, seating areas have been built everywhere, covered with loads of cushions. And there are plants among all the cushions. Not exactly the setting you are used to in a restaurant.

On your plate
In a very relaxed setting, you get all kinds of delicious food on your plate. Think picanha from the barbecue with parsnip and chipotle cream and crispy polenta. Or oriental tomato broth with roasted shiitakes, ginger, lemongrass, ramen and charred spring onions. Saffron risotto packed with vegetables is another option. A main course costs between €15.00 and €17.50. Soups and lunch dishes cost between €7 and €8.
