Splinters on your chopsticks? That era is over.

Normally, you tear your chopsticks apart before you can use them, but this can cause splinters to end up in your food. That’s why people suggested not pulling the sticks apart, but breaking off the top instead. But here too, it turns out: the original chopsticks aren’t designed for this. Breaking them usually doesn’t work.

Fortunately, something new has now been invented: cropsticks. More than a year ago, American Mylen Fe Yamamoto came up with the idea of developing environmentally friendly chopsticks that you can easily break, without splinters ending up in your sushi.

The cropsticks are now on the market, and you can order them here.
