New: Fast & Vegan in The Hague

Fast&Vegan

While you trip over vegan eateries in Amsterdam, in The Hague you still have to search pretty hard for them. For now, that is, because the selection is steadily growing: next weekend, lunchroom Fast & Vegan opens its doors.

As if King’s Day weren’t festive enough already, the new vegan lunchroom will open its doors on April 27 in Piet Heinstraat in the up-and-coming Zeeheldenkwartier neighbourhood.

While many a vegan shop still makes the occasional exception for cow’s milk in coffee, at this lunchroom it really is all plant-based, all the time.

Simple and fast

There’s something for everyone on the menu: from croissants and coffee buns, algae burgers and vegan croquettes to green smoothies and acai bowls. ‘The fast in our name doesn’t refer to fast food, but to simple, quick dishes. Vegan food often has to simmer for hours; we show that it can also be prepared quickly,’ says owner Jurriaan de Bruijn.

Those who are in a real hurry can also quickly grab a vegan cappuccino and croissant to take with them.

King’s Day

Curious? On King’s Day, they’ll open their doors between 3:00 and 6:00 p.m. for a welcome snack and drink.
