New in the Netherlands: cannabis wine

You won’t get high from the wine anytime soon. The drink contains no THC, the substance that makes you stoned. In the Netherlands, alcohol and THC are prohibited in the same product. So what does it contain? Cannabidiol, also known as CBD. This is the same substance found in oils available at drugstores. Cannabidiol has no effect whatsoever on your behavior or feelings.

Importer Dirk Bont thinks he has spotted a gap in the market and brought the stuff to our country. In addition to selling the wine online, he now sells it in seven different stores. Including four tourist shops in Amsterdam. Bont also plans to bring cannabis beer to the market soon. He claims to have already found a brewery.
