New on TV: Superstar Chef

Do you love watching cooking shows all day long? Then we have good news for you. Starting April 24, you can watch Superstar Chef, in which eight top chefs, including Michelin-starred chefs, compete against one another. Together with Dutch celebrities, they form duos that cook in the studio. The duo that performs best wins the title of Superstar Chef. 

The duos receive two assignments per week. The chefs train the Dutch celebrities beforehand in their own restaurants, so they can complete the assignments at Michelin-star level. The participants start by cooking in duos. But as soon as the kitchen turns red, the chefs leave the Dutch celebrities on their own. The chefs therefore need to train their protégés well, so the assignment does not end in complete disaster. Every week, the duo that cooks the least successfully goes home, and ultimately one team finishes as Superstar Chef.

FavorFlav top 100

We can’t wait, because Joris Bijdendijk (number 1 in the FavorFlav Food Top 100) is taking part. We are incredibly jealous of the Dutch celebrity who gets to learn cooking skills from him, because that is, of course, everyone’s biggest dream. You’ll find even more culinary stars on the jury. Three-Michelin-star chef Sergio Herman, two-Michelin-star chef François Geurds and TV chef Miljuschka Witzenhausen (all three also in the top 100) will be responsible for the tasting.
