On a budget: Manoto

No energy left to cook? We get it! But tasty food is a must, so never settle for less. That’s why we’ve put together our tips for truly delicious takeaways, the best delivery services and affordable places.

At Manoto in Amsterdam, you can enjoy Iranian classics. For around €25 per person, you’ll get through the evening just fine. You may not immediately tell all your hip friends that you’re eating here, because the interior is a little Persian glamour. Fortunately, you’re not only treated like royalty in large chairs, but you also eat very well.
Stews
Be sure to try the ghormeh sabzi. A stew with lamb, vegetable sauce, kidney beans and fresh herbs. Mast o giyar (yoghurt with cucumber and mint) is delicious as a side dish, served with fresh warm bread and lubia polo (green beans with soy in a tomato sauce). Have a sweet tooth? Then go for bastani, Persian ice cream with rose water, saffron and pistachio.
Prefer Indian cuisine? Then this restaurant is the one for you.
