On TV: De Aardappeleters

The Dutch have loved potatoes for many years. But what about dishes that come from far away but that we now also see as almost Dutch? TV programme De Aardappeleters investigates.

door Emma de Thouars
Joris Vermeer, from the now-closed restaurant Aan de Amstel in Amsterdam, travels the world in search of the origins of dishes. Babi pangang, spaghetti bolognese, sushi and shawarma all make an appearance. Very interesting, because many dishes came about in a very different way than you might think.
De Aardappeleters can be seen every weekday from 9 to 20 January at 7:55 p.m. on NPO2.
