Peel Beer from Friethoes

The fry cooks at Friethoes in Haarlem have come up with something new: peel beer. In collaboration with Troost Brewery, the peels from the chip shop are used to make a Weizen-style beer.

Friethoes makes fries from the finest organic potatoes, taking them from the soil to the shop within 24 hours. With their truck, they appear at festivals such as Mysteryland and Best Kept Secret. And sometimes they make a quick stop at De Efteling. In short: there are plenty of places, apart from the shop in Haarlem, to taste these honest and, above all, delicious fries.
But back to the peel beer: the fresh, fruity flavour of this brew pairs beautifully with Friethoes’ salty fries. Besides, beer and fries are unbeatable together. The idea of peel beer fits with Friethoes’ ambition to become the first zero-waste fry company in the Netherlands in 2019. Now those are resolutions that make us happy.
